Twas the afternoon of the night before Christmas, when all through the house, there were two cats nipping at toes and eyeing a couple turtledoves out front in the ornamental orange tree. The tamales were tucked in their
cute little olla while visions of their consumption danced in our heads. When out in the front there arose such a chatter, we ran to the iron gates to see what was the matter. It was a giant semi Coca Cola truck decked out in lights on every straight angle, pulling an escort pickup with three people-size stuffed animals waving their paws as they coursed through the streets of our posada-glutted suburbia. As they laid on the petrol and sped out of sight, we shouted, to no one in particular, remember, no bonfires tonight! (A practice when it´s cold.) Strange but true.
I love the scowl on RJ’s face on the second panel. Humbug.
