Y’all need to be careful how you treat Verne. Being a turtle he is automatically associated with GAMERA the Japanese flying turtle monster. And Gamera has teeth!
But… if the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles haven’t come to Verne’s defense YET, I suspect he does not have good connections in the Turtle world. I suspect he was a little too supportive of King Yertle before his inevitable fall to be trusted by his Turtle Brethren.
