The Attack of the Puppy Dog Eyes

Hard to resist those peepers.  It’s an axiom of cartooning: the bigger the eyes, the more infantile and therefore more helpless and in need of protection the character. This derives from the fact that infant heads (and eyes) are so big in relation to their bodies.
