The One with the Undead Cabana Boy

Over the Hedge

Labron James.  Was that a wasted hour or what?   A new low in sports journalism.  Are we so bored that where a narcessestic pituitary case decides to play is interesting?   Or even remarkable?  ESPN fail.  Labron fail. We fail.

I Can Hear You Now… that you’re dead

Over the Hedge

I have an iPhone.  It’s cool and all, but the reception does suck.   Too many streaming LOL Cat videos being pushed through too little bandwidth.  Works fine with wi-fi though.  Which at one point was where I thought mobile was headed.   Who needs cell towers or cell companies when you can bypass the whole mess with wi-fi?   Buy an iPod Touch, get Skype and make calls over wi-fi.  Works great.  If you have wi-fi.  But it’s not happening.   When AT&T got in bed with an exclusive deal with Apple it was the beginning of the end of the promise of a cheaper, better mobile experience.  Capitalism doesn’t work too well when companies collude to destroy competition.   Just saying.

I Can’t Believe It’s Not Brains

Over the Hedge

Stole today’s title from a comment on comics.com by lifestudent.  Frankly, it might have been a stronger punchline than True Brains.   True Brains is the hip-I-can-afford-HBO-and-watch-slick-vampire-satires punchline But, I can’t belive it’s not brains, is probably better for a broader, bigger audience.   Which explains in a nut shell why we don’t have a broader, bigger audience.

I’m Here All Week, Try the Brains

Over the Hedge

It’s hard to mix horror and comedy.  You usually end up with blood splattered all over your comedy.  Shaun of the Dead is a good effort, but it’s really way more comedy than horror.  I think the best attempts have been on TV: Dexter and True Blood.  Dexter is the funniest serial killer ever.  His unique, gruesome POV in voice over is often hysterical, “What’s that?  You’d like a little off the top?”   True Blood (when it’s not playing head twister) has had some great satire AND site gags (Is there a braver actor than the one playing Sam’s real dad wearing only a beer and those disgusting soiled jockey shorts?).

I don’t have anywhere else to go with this and I have dozens of cartoons to animate.  So, I’m just going to stop writing now.  I mean, now.  No, now.  Now.

NOW!

Happy Hour of the Living Dead

Over the Hedge

T forgot the SNAP SFX between the second and third panel.  That would SO have made this WAY funnier.  You just can’t do detached zombie limb comedy without a SNAP SFX.

It’s true.

Everybody says so.

Really.

Everybody.

Okay, me.
