Well, this went spectacularly off the rails. The idea was these two knuckleheads solved all the world’s problems so now the aliens want them to solve their problems too. Except it isn’t at all clear that’s what’s going on.  This one’s on me.  My bad.

Actually, for the most part, Verne is fond of the “mankini.”

But due to some recent chafing issues associated with the use of sub-standard Chinese baby powder made from improperly ground panda toenail clippings he’s had to go sans banana hammock.

His loss is our loss.

Can you imagine translating this strip into any other language?  With all the word play it would be incomprehensible.

(Continuity Note:  Verne only goes commando in his shell when we have facing away and can use the black “modesty bar”.  Facing forward, the Comics Code of 1953 dictates we dress Verne in underwear (white only) under penalty of a stern talking to by 93 year old comics censor Marge Hattenborg*.)

*Marge is really mean.
