We’re limping to the end here.
In retrospect we should have featured a different Partridge every day. We’ve given Mr. Cassidy more attention then he’s had in years.
C-list celebrities* and fish tend to smell after three days.
(*I count myself as somewhere between N-list and Q-list).

Actually, David Cassidy on Glee would be a terrific idea. They could do a whole late 60′s/early 70′s musical revue:
“I Think I Love You” (The Partridge Family)
“Day Dream Believer” (The Monkees)
“Tra La La” (The Banana Splits)
“Best Friend” (The Courtship of Eddie’s Father)
“Suicide is Painless” (MASH)
Jesus, I’m old.

Funny comment over at comics.com/overthehedge by TheTrustedMechanic
Did you hear about the bear and the bunny that were “going” in the woods by each other?.
The bear turned to the bunny and asked, “Does p00p stick to your fur?”
The bunny thought for a minute and replied, “No……, no it doesn’t.”
So the bear wiped it’s butt with the bunny.
So, there you go.

It can’t be easy being an ex teen scream sensation from 40 years ago. You can end up being a punch line in a modestly successful comic strip without your knowledge, permission or compensation. Kinda sucks.
At least we spelled his name right.
I think. Let me check.
Yeah, we spelled it right.
This time.

On second thought, I don’t think the word secretions and the word Christmas should ever be in the same strip.
Apologies.

For those playing at home under the age of 40:
1. David Cassidy was a teen scream singer in the early 70′s who stared as Keith Partridge in “The Partridge Family.”
2. “Free Bird” is a lengthy half ballad/half uptempo Southern rock anthem recorded by Lynyrd Skynyrd in 1973.
3. During the 70′s it was popular during concerts by any performer or band from the Ramones to Barry Manilow to shout, “Free Bird” as a request.
4. Comic strips that require extensive annotation such as this one are generally considered to be less than successful.
