Welcome to the Pain and Horror Allergy Season

T’s keyman is inspired.  Better than I imagined.*

*For those of you keeping score, this is an example of me being complimentary about my partner.  Since I often rag on him, I like to point out when I’m being nice.  He’s extremely talented and probably should be doing his own strip free from the likes of me.  He deserves his share of the single watt flickering spotlight we share.  And when he gets his own blog he can have it.

May the Scroll Be With You

If you were wondering if our Star Wars homage is pinned to the 35th anniversary of the debut of Star Wars then you would be under the delusion that we plan these things out in advance.

We don’t.

Over the Hedge:  Accidentally topical since 1995.

This Is the Storyline That Never Ends…

…it goes on and on my friends.

Some cartoonist started writing it without knowing what it was…

So he’ll continue writing it forever just because.

(Alderaan = Underarm, get it? No?  Never mind.)

May the 24th Be With You

A space sling shot isn’t as stupid as it appears.  Make it big enough, pull it back far enough and you create a substantial amount of kinetic energy that in the vacuum of space has a near infinite maximum effective range.  Remember, a gravity sling shot an asteroid only 10km in diameter that may have wiped out the dinosaurs.

Over the Hedge:  Seriously Silly Science Stuff since 1995

The Zeroes Journey

Verne’s mother’s name was Olivia June Keymaster.  And I swear I didn’t just make that up.

I swear.

Verne and Princess Leia Sitting In a Tree

Interspecies inappropriateness aside, a Verne and Princess Leia love connection isn’t as crazy as it sounds.  Once she gets past the slime and mildew, there’s a reptilian Braveheart that can un-distress any daring damsel.

And he really digs that cinnabon ear-muff do.

Audience I Am

We’re gettin’ all Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy/Star Wars/Twilight Zone up in this thing.  I guess I’m succumbing to the fact that our average reader is a 50-going-on-12 semi-geek who likes to imagine a parallel alternate universe where he can read/write minds, shoot flaming plasma death stars out his eyes and basically get all nerd-ninja on some Weeping Angel ass.

I have met the audience and it is me.

The One With the Three Headed Razor-Spiked Acid-Oozing Tailed Space Spider

Notice how you can imagine a three headed razor-spiked acid-oozing tailed space spider much, much better than we could draw one.  We do that on purpose.

And also because it would be a pain in the ass to draw.

Over the Hedge:  Over relying on Audience Participation since 1995
