This is what happens when a legitimate news story gets processed through my Cuisinart brain.
Though, to be fair, airedales polkaing would be fun to see.

It was a toss up between a toothpick and a spackle trowel. Toothpick had a higher squeamish factor.

I pretty much almost never write gags like this. They’re hacky. That’s why the gag is in the second panel and the “I know it’s not that funny” punch is at the end. Like the “apology” is funnier than the gag.
And that was way more than you wanted to know about this cartoon.

These are important questions. Mainly because I’m working on a new middle grade novel about Supers. I can’t tell you what it’s called yet, but I can tell you what I’m aiming for:
Deadpool for ten year olds.
Deadpool is the best superhero film I’ve ever seen. It identifies all the Super tropes and then obliterates them. It’s funny. And it has real stakes that don’t get diluted in the comedy. It’s the Terry Pratchett of super hero films. It stars a real person in an unreal world.
Good stuff. Mike-Bob says check it out.

I pledge to NOT think more often!
