RJ Stands for Really Jealous

Technically Rocket is a mutant while RJ is an actual raccoon.  Admittedly a highly stylized raccoon who lacks a mouth. And walks upright. With thumbs. And pockets. And metabolic syndrome.

Okay, RJ’s a mutant too.
